We are a network of faith actors, public health practitioners, community organizers, and science and policy experts who believe in the power of faith and the wisdom of public health science to transform the health of our communities.

Sweet Truth Campaign
Their vision was [realized] with the Sweet Truth campaign policy victory. For that campaign, IPHN led faith and other community engagement and mobilization - in partnership with the Center for Science in the Public Interest - to pass the nation's first law requiring warning labels in chain restaurants for menu items with high amounts of added sugars.

We believe in cultivating interfaith action and maintaining an atmosphere of mutual respect and dialogue. We focus on areas of agreement and welcome partners from a wide range of religious, spiritual, and ethical traditions.
We believe in focusing on a systematic and holistic approach to public health that emphasizes both the power of individual action and the role of systems in supporting community well-being.
We believe social justice and healthy equity are indispensable components of public health. We address health inequities across race, class, gender, etc.
We believe science is a sacred instrument for effective public health interventions and policy design and implementation. We support diverse forms of knowledge and expertise, and respect the inherent self-determination of communities in their own health.
We believe in a community-centered ethic to ensure healthy and just communities. We acknowledge greed and corruption as obstacles to public health and prioritize beliefs and practices that contribute to social good and community well-being.
